Constructed from Ultramid, it weighs just 0.25 lb and consists of three main components. The handle, inspired by the iconic KA-BAR USMC Fighting/Utility Knife, features a hollow storage compartment for storing extra line and lures. The head of the Kaster is where you attach your fishing line, and it comes with a plastic clamp-like device to secure your line when not in use.
This versatile fishing tool is proudly made in the USA and does not come with fishing line or lures included. The KA-BAR Backpack Kaster can hold fishing lines of 8lb = 100 yards @ .011" diameter, and 10lb = 90 yards @ .012" diameter. It is the perfect addition to any camping, hiking, or survival/bugout kit.
